Six months in, and I haven't hit my goals.

Six months in, and I haven't hit my goals.

But the year isn't done. And neither are we.

Hey, Friend!

Can you believe we're already halfway through 2026?

I'll be honest with you: when I think about where I thought I'd be by now, the gap between that vision and my current reality is... humbling.

I didn't hit the milestones I imagined.

Partly because life had other plans.

Partly because (if I'm being real), I didn't have a clear picture of what those milestones even were.

And then came the layoff. The pivot. The rebuild. The work and travel that pays the bills (for which I'm grateful) but leaves no time for building my own thing.

It hasn't been what I planned. But it's been exactly what it needed to be.

And I'm still here. Still building. Still called.

How about you?

1 | Thinking Out Loud

Here's what nobody tells you about answering a calling: it doesn't come with a guarantee that the path will be smooth, the timeline will be clear, or things will go according to plan.

But, if we're being honest, no one ever said that obedience to the call would be easy.

Our obedience isn't transactional. Your yes to the call doesn't guarantee a clear roadmap in return.

Sometimes you say yes and get thrown a curveball. A pivot. A season that looks nothing like what you imagined when you started.

And in those moments it's easy to look at where you are and feel like you've failed. Like you're behind. Like everyone else figured it out and you're still circling the same questions you were circling months ago.

But here's what I want you to consider: what if you're not behind? What if this is exactly the season you needed to be in to get to where you're going?

The call didn't expire on a certain date, and it didn't have a six month deadline.

And the mess of the first half doesn't disqualify you from a powerful second half.

The year isn't done. And neither are you.

2 | Try This

Take 15 minutes this week for an honest mid-year reset. Not a guilt trip. A recalibration.

Ask yourself three questions:

  • What did I say yes to in the first half of this year, even imperfectly?
  • What got in the way and was it circumstance, fear, or both?
  • What does the second half look like if I release the guilt and recommit to the call?

Write it down. Be honest. Then give yourself permission to begin again.

3 | Sit With This

If the calling hasn't changed, what needs to?

(Hit reply and tell me. I'd love to hear from you.)

πŸ“– The Word Out Loud

Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

He started it. He hasn't stopped. Neither should you.

Friend, the second half starts now.

Let's finish what we started. Out loud.

Creatively Yours,

Cachet
